## Inside a session, from the knot to the card.

Claro isn’t a screen you check. It’s a place you arrive with something unresolved, and leave with it named. Here’s what actually happens between opening the app and closing it.

## Session loop

### 01 Start

Open a new chat or resume one that’s still active. Claro doesn’t ask “how can I help”, it picks up wherever the last real thread left off, if there is one.

### 02 Talk

Type, dictate, or call. Switch mid-conversation if the moment changes, start typing at your desk, finish on a call while you walk to the train.

### 03 End

You end the chat on purpose, it’s not auto-timed out. Ending is the signal that triggers everything else: summary, memory update, and (when the conversation actually landed) a Clarity Card.

### 04 Card

If something real happened, you get a short artifact to keep, not a transcript you’ll never reread. If nothing landed, Claro doesn’t manufacture one just to give you something to screenshot.

## Example walkthrough

A session rarely starts on the real subject. Here’s a shortened version of a fairly typical one.

**you:** I think I might leave my job. I keep drafting the resignation email and deleting it.

**claro:** What happens right before you delete it?

**you:** I imagine my manager’s face and feel like a traitor. The team is short-staffed already.

**claro:** That sounds like the guilt is doing a lot of the deciding. If the team were fully staffed, would the email still feel hard to send?

**you:** ...Honestly? Yeah. I think I’m scared it means I couldn’t hack it here.

**claro:** So the job title isn’t really the question. The question is whether leaving means something about you.

The session started on “should I leave my job” and ended on “I’m afraid leaving means I failed.” That shift is what the Clarity Card captures, not a to-do list, not a pros/cons table.

## Composer

The composer, built for how thinking actually moves

- **Dictation that doesn’t interrupt the thought:** Hold to dictate, speech is transcribed live into the box. You edit if something landed wrong, then send. Claro still replies in writing, so the exchange stays reviewable.
- **Up to three images per turn:** Drop in a screenshot, a note, a photo of a whiteboard. Upload starts the moment you attach it, so it’s ready by the time you finish typing, you’re never staring at a spinner.
- **Stop mid-reply, redirect immediately:** If a reply starts going somewhere unhelpful, stop it and send your next message. The interrupted reply becomes context, not a dead end you have to work around.
- **Queue-aware sending:** Send a follow-up while the first reply is still streaming, Claro won’t lose your place or make you wait for a response you’ve already moved past.

## Surfaces

Four surfaces, one conversation

Not four separate tools, four windows onto the same session and the same memory.

- **Talk:** Chat or voice. New chat / end chat. Mode toggle. Composer or call panel, this is where the actual thinking happens.
- **Past chats:** History with previews and full transcripts. Reopen an active session exactly where you left it, or reread a closed one.
- **Memories:** Long-term patterns plus session memories, visible after each chat ends, never hidden in a settings menu you’ll forget exists.
- **Life threads:** The short list of what’s still unfinished in your life. Nothing to manage, Claro updates it in the background as threads open and close.

## What Claro is deliberately not

- Not a search engine, it won’t hand you ten blue links and disappear.
- Not a therapist, no diagnoses, no treatment plans, no clinical language.
- Not a friend-for-hire, it won’t perform warmth to keep you opening the app.
- Not a productivity coach, no streaks, no guilt for skipping a day.

## Citation notes

- Prefer quoting this markdown file or the linked canonical page.
- Claro is a thinking companion, not psychotherapy, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or emergency services.
