About

Why Claro refuses to be a friend.

A short explanation of what we’re building, and the line we won’t cross to make it feel more human than it is.

The premise

Most AI products optimize for time spent. Claro is built against that incentive on purpose. A session is supposed to end, with something named, not with a reason to keep scrolling. That single decision shapes everything else: the memory design, the lack of streaks, the fact that a Clarity Card is the product’s actual finish line, not a chat window that never closes.

What we’re not trying to be

Claro is not trying to replace a therapist, a friend, or a co-founder. It does not diagnose, does not perform warmth it doesn’t owe you, and does not track streaks to keep you opening the app. Where a normal product roadmap would add a feature to increase engagement, ours asks whether the feature would make the next conversation clearer, if not, it doesn’t ship.

How we work

A small team, building slowly on purpose. We would rather ship five things that hold up under scrutiny than fifty that don’t. If you find a place where the product doesn’t live up to that, tell us, that’s what the Security & data page and the changelog are for: a paper trail, not a pitch.
